Chief Johnson Receives Award

from U.S. Marshals Service

Brunswick Police Chief Edna Johnson was presented with an award from the United States Marshal Service at a recent City of Brunswick Commission meeting in appreciation for her dedication and support of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Georgia Fugitive Task Force.   

   

 

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

Presenting the award are Donny Foster, United States Marshal Task Force Coordinator for the Brunswick District and Tom Roberts, United States Marshal for the Southern District of Georgia.

Edna H. Johnson

As Chief of Police of a historical Port city police department, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to both our website and our community.  The Brunswick Police Department has been serving this community since 1838.  Throughout the years, providing quality service for the citizens and visitors of the City of Brunswick remains paramount for our agency.  We are committed to providing professional and ethical services by maintaining the highest law enforcement standards through effective policy development, training and accountability.  We support successful community partnerships, proactive policing and problem solving.  Creating a safer community through education, community involvement and aggressive patrol is the current overall goal for our agency.  We are truly committed to our citizens and those who visit the City of Brunswick.
