| 2008 Law Enforcement Memorial Bike Ride |

The Brunswick Police Department and the
Georgia Blue Knights Motorcycle Club, Chapter XIV, are once again sponsoring an
annual Law Enforcement Memorial Bike Ride. This event is a fully escorted ride
from Brunswick, Georgia to St. Augustine, Florida. This year's ride, a laid back
jaunt down mostly country roads, will take place on Saturday, May 24, 2008.
Riders will depart from the Stellar Center directly behind the Golden Isles Harley Davidso Shop (located 125 Venture Drive adjacent to I-95) at 10:00 a.m. The host motels in Brunswick, the Quality Inn and Econo Lodge, are also located at this address. A discounted room rate of $84.00 (including tax) is being offered on a limited number of rooms for May 23rd and 24th. Make your reservations early by calling 912.265.4600 or by going to www.brunswickmeeting.com. The host motel in St. Augustine is the Avenida Inn located at 2800 N. Ponce de Leon Boulevard. The inn is offering a discounted room rate of $89.00 plus tax on a limited number of rooms for the evenings of May 24th and 25th. You can contact the inn at 800.331.9995 or www.avenidainn.com. Kick-off for the event will take place at the Stellar Center in Brunswick on the evening of Friday, May 23, 2008. Activities will include live music, food, drinks, and much more. The cost to participate in the ride is $20.00 per bike, one or two up. Event shirts will also be sold. Proceeds from the ride will benefit the surviving families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.
